Healthy sex education never had a chance to help a 15-year-old Naples boy, who broke into the home of a 40-year-old single woman and raped her yesterday (5-27-08). I’m sure his parents are horrified and wondering how he could do such a thing. You don’t want this kind of story about your child appearing in the local newspaper.
Iin all likelihood, this young man had little or no communication with his parents about sex. If they are like most parents in our country they never had a chance to learn how to talk to their children about this vital area of life. Their parents had very little to say about sex to them. However, the world they grew up in was not as sexually dangerous as today’s world.
Where did this boy get these lurid and violent ideas about sex? He didn’t get them from his home. He didn’t get them from his school. He got them from pornography. Statistics indicate that the largest Internet market for pornography are males from 12 to 17 years of age.
This boy now faces serious charges. No doubt, he will spend some time in a juvenile detention center. A healthy sex education could have saved this neighbor from a horrifying experience she will never forget and spared this young man the complications of this reckless criminal behavior.
Our world is too sexually dangerous for children to get all their ideas about sex away from home. We need to train parents to be the primary sex educators of their children. tsk tsk tsk. so crazy. he is 15 he is not an idiot. he knows better, he knows the difference between good & bad, unless perhaps he is mentally challenged, and thats a different case in its own.
he should be severely punished, if he did rape this woman. I wish you linked to the newspaper article or something, so I could get the whole story, this is so.. sick. I wonder if he was super strong, that the woman couldn’t fight, or if he was a lanky kid, or if the woman was terrified, etc.
reminds me of my teachers story, about this brain damaged man in an institution that used to rape the handicap women, or those in a coma, and the hospital never did anything, expect abort the babies (horrible!!!)
