If you knew that 14 times out of 100 your parachute would not open, would you trust that bundle on your back enough to jump out of the plane? This is the failure rate of condoms to protect you from pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. Tthis 86% success rate is assuming you know how to properly apply the condom…and you apply it before any body fluids are mingled.
Putting a condom on a banana in a public school sex education class is very different from trying to properly apply it in the frenzy of sexual excitement in the backseat of a car or some other equally awkward place. And…people should know that sperm are often found in the pre-seminal fluid that lubricates the male urethra in the beginning moments of sexual excitement. So, continuing with the earlier analogy, applying a condom before entry can be like jumping out of the plane and discovering in your free fall that your parachute won’t work.
Isn’t it better to fantasize about marriage, be true to your future spouse and take care of your own sexual needs? Then, you haven’t violated someone else and you don’t have to worry about Sexually Transmitted Disaeases (STDs). And…there is no Scripture that prohibits this!
