When someone talks plainly about sex in church a few sensitive people complain that  they are receiving too much information.  However, sex is a subject that is close to God’s heart.  When He created Adam and Eve naked and unashamed, He looked at them and declared, “Very good.”  This is the only time in the creation story when He pronounced His creation “very good.” After each othe day of creation He simply said His work was good.

In many churches sex is only talked about in negative ways.  Today’s families need to know why God created sexual pleasure.  After all, only the pleasure of His presence surpasses the pleasure He planned for married people to discover in each other.

The pleasure of God’s presence serves to bind us to Him.  And, the pleasure a married couple find in exploring each other’s body is a major strand in the cords of love that bind them to each other.

Since God is the Creator of sex, don’t you think the Church should be talking about it in positive ways?  We need the Church to teach us how to be sexually healthy adults and how to raise sexually healthy children in today’s sexually sick world.  Let me know what you think!
