95% of public schools have some kind of sex education program for their students. But!!! Mom and Dad, is this where you want your children to get their information about sex? Is this where you want them to learn what they need to know to make their sexual decisions–decisions that will not only affect them, but may drastically affect you as well?
This is not where your children want to learn about sex. Tina Hoff, Vice President of the Kaiser family foundation in Menlo Park, California, found that 10 and 11 year old children definitely want more information about sex, but they want it to come from their parents.
Isn’t this really where sex education belongs–in the home? Then, why isn’t it taking place there? I believe most parents know that they should be the primary source of their children’s sexual information and attitudes and inside, they really want to be. However, since most of them were raised by parents who seldom, if ever, talked to them about sex they simply don’t know how to approach this task with their own children.
